SPIRIT AND MIND

Special Events & Donor Recognition

The College of Liberal Arts follows the Texas A&M Foundations stewardship guidelines in recognizing donors to the College. The guidelines allow for a variety of ways to say thank-you to our dedicated and trusted friends, including, but not limited to:

Recognition

  • Events: The College bring members of the Liberal Arts Development Council to campus two times a year, once during the fall semester and once during the spring semester. The meetings allow the College to recognize select donors for their gift and allows them to mingle with other donors, students, and faculty and learn first-hand about key College initiatives. The College also hosts luncheons, dinners, receptions, or other special event that better suits the interests and preferences of the donor.
  • Honor Roll: The College publishes an honor roll in its annual magazine Pathways to Discovery that recognizes donors who have made a minimum $25,000 gift.
  • Donor-Scholar Information Exchange: Once the College selects a student for your scholarship, the related College office helps you get acquainted. We coordinate an exchange of biographical information between you and your scholar. This often is the beginning of a lifetime friendship between the donor and scholar.
  • Donor Plaques: The College hangs an engraved, brass-and-wood plaques to donors of Chairs and Professorships in the rotunda of the Academic Building.
  • Texas Aggie; Recognition: With the donors permission, the College will recognize donors of Chairs and major endowments in The Texas Aggie.
