First-generation undergraduates whose total family income is less than $40,000 per year, based upon the calendar year prior to enrollment at Texas A&M University, are eligible for the Regents’ Scholarship. Regents’ Scholars must live on-campus their freshmen year and participate in one of Texas A&M’s learning communities.

Giving a Regents' Scholarship

A $100,000 gift will fund an endowment to provide a yearly stipend for four years to a student up to the cost of attendance or demonstrated financial need. Since we manage the endowment to pay for the current student scholarship while simultaneously providing for the long-term growth of the principal, you’ll be supporting students in perpetuity.

Regents’ Scholarships can be named in memory or honor of a person, class or organization of your choice. Gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible and may be made in the form of cash, securities, real estate or other real property. Many employers also offer matching gift programs that could support your gift of a Regents' Scholarship.

"There are some of my buddies who don't know how they're going to make their next tuition payments. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be here without the scholarships."
