Global study scholarships allow students in our increasingly interdependent world to gain first-hand understanding of different cultures. Students who have studied abroad find themselves at a distinct advantage in the business and academic worlds, in addition to having had an experience which they will never forget. Programs vary in length, from year to semester to summer to less than one month programs. Scholarships allow students to participate who may not have considered international travel possible.

Texas A&M lags behind peer institutions in the number of students sent abroad annually. The University of Texas sends approximately 5 percent annually while Texas A&M sends approximately 2.6 percent. Study abroad needs to be the norm, not the exception. In this increasingly interdependent world, it’s imperative that students gain an international perspective.

Giving a Global Study Scholarship

A $25,000 gift funds an endowment that will provide a recipient with a yearly scholarship. Because we manage the endowment to pay for the current student scholarship while simultaneously providing for the long-term growth of the principal you’ll be supporting students for years to come. Gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible and may be made in the form of cash, securities, real estate or other real property.

Pooled Accounts
If you want to impact the lives of students eligible for a global study scholarship but aren't able to fund a named endowment at this time, you can contribute to the global study pooled account.

Click the "Give Now" button above and select "Operation Spirit and Mind" from the first drop-down menu to direct your gift via credit card to the global study endowment pool or the global study pool for now scholarships.

"Without financial aid, I definitely wouldn't be able to go to Texas A&M."
