Corps of Cadets
The Corps of Cadets is Aggieland’s best known student organization. Since Texas A&M opened its doors in 1876, the Corps has been educating citizen soldiers who have served their state, nation and the world with distinction. Today, with more than 2,200 members, it is the nation's largest uniformed student organization outside the military academies.
The university continues fund raising to ensure the Corps’ future success, particularly endowed gifts to support Corps programs and scholarships for future generations of Aggies. Private support is crucial, given the huge demands placed on the state funds that traditionally funded many Corps programs in past years.

| General Rudder Scholarships Only the most outstanding prospective cadets are selected to receive a Rudder Scholarship from among high school seniors who are admitted to Texas A&M. |

| Sanders Corps of Cadets Center Private funding is essential for this museum and visitors’ center, since it receives no state or student funds. Endowments will help fund staffing, exhibits, operations and maintenance. |
