CELEBRATE SPIRIT AND MIND

Corps of Cadets

The Corps of Cadets is Aggieland’s best known student organization. Since Texas A&M opened its doors in 1876, the Corps has been educating citizen soldiers who have served their state, nation and the world with distinction. Today, with more than 2,200 members, it is the nation's largest uniformed student organization outside the military academies.

The university continues fund raising to ensure the Corps’ future success, particularly endowed gifts to support Corps programs and scholarships for future generations of Aggies. Private support is crucial, given the huge demands placed on the state funds that traditionally funded many Corps programs in past years.

Opportunities to Give

 Academics
The Corps’ top priority is academic achievement for its cadets. Academic endowments will help fund academic assistance programs and staff and an Academic Support Center.
 $25,000+
 Recruiting
Recruiting endowments will help fund a “spend the night with the Corps” program, promotional materials, a toll-free phone line, mailings, computer support and personal contacts.
 $25,000+
 Sanders Corps of Cadets Center
Private funding is essential for this museum and visitors’ center, since it receives no state or student funds. Endowments will help fund staffing, exhibits, operations and maintenance.
 $25,000+
 Parsons Mounted Cavalry
If this popular unit is to maintain its highly visible role, it needs private funding for travel and the care and feeding of 35 horses.
 $25,000+
 Texas Aggie Band
The band is growing, and so are its financial needs. Travel in the Big 12 presents a particular challenge.
 $25,000+
 Corps Leadership Program
This program advances efforts to make the Corps the nation’s top leadership training program.
 $25,000
 Corps 21 Scholarships
The premiere Corps scholarship that gives recipients a $5000 yearly stipend.
 $100,000

 General Rudder Scholarships
Only the most outstanding prospective cadets are selected to receive a Rudder Scholarship from among high school seniors who are admitted to Texas A&M.

 $50,000+
 Sul Ross Scholarships

The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors admitted to Texas A&M who indicate a desire to join the Corps and who have outstanding scholastic and extracurricular records.

 $25,000+
 Special Units, Activities and Programs
This broad area will support the Corps’ special units and other essential programs not covered in the above areas.
 $25,000+
