The Foundation is governed by seven trustees, each appointed for a period of seven years. A new trustee is appointed each year to ensure continuity.
- Melbern G. Glasscock '59, Chairman founded Texas Aromatics, Inc. and is president and CEO. He has served as vice chairman of the One Spirit One Vision Campaign Executive Committee and established the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research.
- Thomas J. Saylak '82, Chairman-Elect is a private investor. He was a special advisor to the Foundation’s Investment Advisory Board from 2002 to 2006. Saylak was the 2001 Mays Business School Outstanding Alumnus and has hosted the Aggies on Wall Street program. He grew up in Bryan and is a dedicated supporter of Texas A&M’s Singing Cadets.
- John E. Bethancourt '74, is an executive vice president of Chevron Corp. He was named a 2007 Dwight Look College of Engineering Outstanding Alumnus and serves on the university's International Programs Board.
- James A. Mayo Jr. '70 is retired chairman/CEO of Alice Bancshares Inc. and is involved in the investment and ranching industries. He is past president of The Association of Former Students and the Laredo and Brush County A&M Clubs, and served on Texas A&M’s Vision 2020 project.
- Richard Kardys '67 is group executive vice president and chief trust officer at Frost National Bank in San Antonio and is also a certified trust financial advisor. He is a member of the Texas A&M Foundation’s Planned Giving Council and has served on Texas A&M’s last two capital campaign committees. He’s part of the 12th Man Foundation Champions Council and its Council of Athletic Ambassadors, and is past president of The Association of Former Students.
- Ray A. Rothrock '77 is a managing general partner at Venrock Associates in Menlo Park California, one of the oldest venture capital firms in the United States. He is a past director of The Association of Former Students. He has served on the Texas A&M Foundation Investment Advisory Committee and co-chaired the arts and sciences group for Texas A&M's Vision 2020 initiative.
- Bob J. Surovik '58 is an attorney and president of McMahon, Surovik, Suttle Attorneys PC, a law firm in Abilene. He is a past president of the Association of Former Students and the Abilene A&M Club. He served on Texas A&M’s Vision 2020 task force.
