Gift Disbursements
The Texas A&M Foundation annually makes available millions of dollars for students and faculty according to purposes determined by donors. For fiscal year 2007, funds available total $50.2 million.
The Foundation disburses available funds at the request of the benefiting university office. In the case of non-endowed gifts, we disburse the entire gift as designated by the donor and when requested by the university. With endowed (permanent) gifts, disbursements usually begin after the endowment has accrued enough income to fund the specified program.

Uses of Funds Disbursed
The Foundation disburses assets according to donors’ wishes, and the Foundation and University have strict policies to regulate this process. Since 1953, the Foundation has disbursed more than $491.5 million on behalf of Texas A&M.
