Mission

The Texas A&M Foundation matches donors and their interests with the university’s priorities. Our donors provide the resources that help faculty excel in their fields and students become confident professionals. The Foundation’s wise management of these generous gifts fuels Spirit and MindSM. It helps Aggies leave their mark on the world in productive and inventive ways, and ensures a bright future for Texas A&M.

History

In 1953, a group of 21 distinguished former students sensed the need to increase the university’s fundraising efforts and created the Texas A&M College Development Foundation, the precursor of the Texas A&M Foundation. One of our original trustees, Sterling Evans ’21, watched that small initial investment grow exponentially to thousands, then hundreds of millions. Those assets now stand at more than $1 billion. The lesson: there’s nothing Aggie spirit and know-how can’t do. It was Aggie spirit that spawned the original Foundation gifts, and Aggie spirit—our donors’ and our employees’ that keeps our assets growing.
