SPIRIT AND MIND

International Programs

The College of Liberal Arts is committed to infusing its education, research and outreach programs with an international focus. Texas A&M University has facilities in Europe and Latin America, and more than 3,000 international students work and study at our College Station campus.

Funding Priorities

The Summer European Academy:
The Academy involves a formal association with ASKO Europa Stiftung, a private foundation located in Saarland, Germany, and the Saar University. In addition to classes on the European Union and visits to major European Union organizations in Luxembourg and Brussels, a distinguishing feature of the Academy is that German students join Texas A&M students for several weeks of the program.

Study Abroad:
Study abroad programs complement reciprocal exchange programs with foreign universities and they encourage students to consider other experiences such as internships with the U.S. State Department, other international agencies, or multi national businesses. And, these experiences often prompt greater interest in our language offerings, which currently include Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Japanese. Scholarships and fellowships are needed to allow more undergraduate and graduate students to take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity.
