Emerging Technologies Building
The new Emerging Technologies Building on campus, scheduled for completion in 2011, will feature state-of-the-art facilities for research that will foster learning and collaboration.

This 212,000 square foot building will house the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Industrial and Systems Engineering and labs for interdisciplinary research between the Dwight Look College of Engineering and the Colleges of Architecture, Geosciences and Science.

Limited matching funds available
Some of the features of the new building will include a three-story atrium designed for events, gatherings and displays for innovative research, an underwater systems electronics lab for work on underwater vehicles, and a large-scale visualization room for the computational science and visualization program.

Private support is the distinguishing factor between a good and a great university, and it is essential to the completion of the Emerging Technologies Building.

State support has not kept pace with our growing needs. Private funding is necessary to provide the most advanced learning environments.
